Benny Bones: Rites of Passage Tattoo Convention & Arts Festival. Best Large Colour Female, 2012.

Recently Benny Bones attended Rites of Passage Tattoo Convention & Art Festival in Melbourne.

This year Rites of Passage was host to the 1st Australian Tattoo Industry Awards. The award ceremony is a celebration of some of Australia’s finest Tattoo Artists. There are also daily award ceremonies over the 3 days of the convention. Each category winner receives an individual bronze sculpture each hand crafted and made by the infamous Brett Williams.

Benny submitted some of his sleeve work and had an amazing response. It was a tough competition and the high level of work on display was amazing. Benny was the winner of Best Large Colour Female for 2012. Congratulations Ben on a great Convention. We wish you many more successes for the future.

The convention was held at The Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens again this year. The Convention is an annual Arts festival where the general public has the opportunity to see some of Australia’s best Tattoo Artists at work. Rites of Passage is also an attraction for some of the best International Artists in the Industry. If you have not been the last 2 years, don’t worry! Rites of Passage will be on next year so keep your eyes peeled for details on the Rites of Passage website.
